If Twitter were the news, the most high-profile person of last year would be Justin Bieber, whose tweets were retweeted an average of 5 million times, compared to President Obama’s mere 250,000. By the way, locks of Bieber hair sold for $40k on eBay back in March 2011.
But if Facebook were the news, then top dog was Charlie Sheen, who boasted the fastest time to reach 1 million followers. His tiger blood boast also made #tigerblood one of the top hashtags of last year.
On Google, though, Rachel Black of music video Friday fame was the leading search team. She also bagged more than 3 million dislikes before the clip was removed from YouTube. Black, however, cashed in to the tune of $1.2 million.
