Shreddies Turn To Facebook

Remember the time when cereal boxes had promotions when you collect stickers in special packs?  Well that time is over - as shreddies have proven in the UK with their successful social media strategy that plays on the current election fever, by allowing users to "nominate their nana" as the new knitter for shreddies.

Times have indeed changed, and how refreshing it is to see a integrated campaign in the UK that plays across TV and online and works.

At time of writing over 80,000 people have 'liked' the popular new shreddies fan page, with 1000's of nana's already been uploaded for and voted for every day.

The prize? well your nana could appear on the boxes of shreddies!

It's great to see an integrated campaign that rivals the success of alexander the meerkat with brands opening up to lovers of the popular cereal allowed to interact and be a part of the brand - and have fun too!
