It seems every day a new study comes out about social media, and with good reason. More so than any other medium, social networking changes by the day.
More users are added, advertising forecasts are adjusted, and median ages for sites rise as an increasing number of people flock to them. That can make it difficult for media buyers and planners to keep track of the most up to date and relevant information.
To assist in that task, Media Life has compiled this short tutorial on social media by the numbers. It includes data on total social media users, age and gender breakdowns, and interesting minutiae about the top social networking sites. Looking for a number that is not included here? Leave a note in the comments section and we’ll track down an answer.
